Hotel Lifehacks

To really enjoy the beautiful rooftop pool at the hotel with less crowd, try and plan your swim early morning. The light’s great for photos, and it’s a beautifully peaceful way to start your day. Late afternoon would be great with a cocktail watching the sunset from the rooftop bar, but that’s also the most popular, busiest time. The sight of the city, and the entire bay, from the pool is this hotel’s signature experience to be relished.

A great way to try local food is to go to “seafood street” on Xuan Dieu. Just a quick taxi ride from the hotel, it’s lined with dozens of local seafood restaurants (‘quĂĄn ốc’). A great tip would be to choose a place which is swamped with locals, indicate which fresh seafood you want from the display, and have it grilled or steamed to perfection. It’s yummy yet authentic yet very pocket-friendly

For a day you’ll never forget, you have to go to the amazing Ky Co beaches and the great cliffs of Eo Gio. Two of the region’s star natural attractions, and this is how to get there: just book a day tour, usually available through your hotel. These usually feature a scenic boat trip out to unspoiled Ky Co beach for a dip in the sea and some really great snorkeling, and then on to ‘’Windy Pass’’, dramatic Eo Gio, for astonishing views along the coast.

Take a short taxi ride to see the Thap Doi (Twin Towers), a pair of ancient Cham towers right in the city. These beautiful brick towers date to the 12th century and shed tremendous light on the pre-Vietnamese past of the area. A late afternoon visit when the light is soft is especially beautiful and adds a great cultural contrast to your beach holiday.
